There’s an old adage that experience is the best teacher. And when it comes to experience, former Los Angeles Postmaster James Smith more than fits the bill. Smith retired as Postmaster after serving 44 years with USPS launched Executive Communication Services, Inc., as its Founder and CEO.
The Director of Operations, Lee Morgan, also has over 40 years of USPS experience. The areas of his expertise come from his executive positions as District Manager Mailing Requirements, Supervisor Mail Classification and Postal Rate Coordinator.
ECS is a direct mailing business that offers creative and direct mail solutions as well as e-commerce, reprographic and printing services.

Mr. Smith, who during his 40 plus years as a career postal employee, climbed the ladder to become Postmaster of the second largest city in the United States. But it was his stint as the postal service’s Manager of Marketing that helped Smith gain valuable knowledge and experience in marketing solutions. “Being the Manager of Marketing gave me a chance to meet many business owners and see firsthand the needs of the community".
